The first inflatable dinghy we are going to consider is the :-
AB Inflatable range of dinghies. For more than 30 years, Artigiana Battelli have been manufacturing inflatable and aluminium dinghies. They are dinghies of the highest quality. The company uses best quality materials and this has resulted in dinghies that are extremely safe, dependable and have a wonderful style about them. Many of the worlds top yachts have these dinghies aboard them. Their range of lightweight tenders are particularly recommended. Either the Ventus 8VL or the slightly larger 9VL are ideal for most boat owners. Both take a good sized outboard that makes the tender plane at high speed, if required. They have a unique additional air retaining chamber in the hull which is an added safety feature.
Achilles Inflatable boats have a range of inflatables that are of the best quality. Their range of tenders are very good. The LEX range which includes the Lex 88 and Lex 96, are a good size for your average yacht. All their inflatables use Hypalon / Neoprene reinforced fabric, which is recognised as an excellent hard wearing material for inflatable boats. In addition this range has self-locking wooden floorboards, folding and locking oars, with removable blades, as well as a removable rowing seat, carry bag and maintenance kit. In other words it comes fully equipped!
Advanced Marine Inflatables (AMI) are constantly striving to push the boundaries of hull design. They even have tunnel hulled catamaran inflatables! However, it is the Rugged series and the RKS 300 that is particularly suited to the average boater. These inflatables use a form of PVC Decitex as the material for the inflatable tubes. As well as aluminium for the rigid under hull (normally fibreglass in other ribs).
Avon Inflatables have been around for a long time. There traditional rowing dinghies, Redstart and Redcrest are well known by boaters. Their ribs are now very popular. The range of Rover ribs are recommended for all the main reasons. Especially the R 280 dinghy, which will suit most small boat owners.
Barracuda boats have a tender called the 230 P which at 7 ft 6 ins is ideal for the smaller boat. It is not the prettiest inflatable around but it will get you noticed!
Caribe Inflatables
Demaree Inflatables are not strictly for your average tender, but I included them here because they are fantastic! All their boats are made in the
Dux inflatable catamarans have been around for over 20 years. They are made in the
Sea Eagles Inflatables are becoming very popular. Their yacht tender range offers the 8.10yt as a good sized boat to use for getting to and from your boat. It is a complete inflatable, in other words it deflates completely to roll up and put in the trunk of your car. It only weighs 59 lbs, so is easily carried.
CLICK HERE FOR GREAT BOATSTinker Inflatables have a small tender called the tramp. The Tinker Tramp is a complete inflatable folding down to a size that can easily be thrown into the trunk after use. It also is unusual in that it can sail! So as well as rowing and using the outboard to get about there is the added dimension of letting the kids sail the tender for enjoyment! At 9 ft long and weighing 58 lbs the Tramp takes an outboard up to 4 hp. With 4 persons aboard.
